All amazing advice, Jon. I think I have an idea of what happened here. There are so many people giving their unearned wisdom about how to make it as a writer that this real wisdom managed to get buried and slip through the cracks. Hard to know sometimes when you're actually getting advice from a real author or not! That's my two cents, anyway. It's a travesty that I'm the first to clap for this. Thanks for all of the advice!
