At first I thought the phrase made no sense at all, like "damn he got no piccs," or "It's giving," but I guess it's not that hard to follow. I'm surprised I hadn't heard it at all before this post!

I feel the same way as you about using writing as an excuse to step outside my comfort zone. That's a great analogy about the same view out your window losing its allure over time. A lot of the impetus for me going down to Belize was to come back with some stories to tell.
