Beautiful writing as always, Annie. It's interesting also growing up and realizing that a lot of the people we spend time with are only because of proximity. Looking back at high school, it's weird how many people I hung out with I barely had a thing in common with. So it makes sense that when we do have parties and get togethers with the "old gang" that there's an authenticity missing.
