Black lives matter protesters don't need to be blameless for Trump's guilt to be obvious. Some of the crimes committed during those BLM protests are far from unserious. You're not wrong about that. Not all democrats have a hard time admitting that.

But none of those protesters tried to subvert the result of an election or incited an insurrection. None of them have audio recordings of them to pressuring election officials to find votes that don't exist and declare their illegitimate victory in presidential elections. The entire scheme with the alternate slates of electors is something that's documented on paper. I'll grant you that most those insurrectionists don't deserve solitary confinement, though. It's their leader who does.
