Borderline magic could hardly be more accurate. It’s baffling how well it can respond to even the most complicated ideas and questions. Its general conversational capabilities aren’t discussed nearly enough.
Even when it’s at its most helpful, though, I can’t help fearing for the worst.
Just today someone was telling me that AI could never truly replace writers, but it’s almost inconceivable for me to think that improving anywhere beyond this point wouldn’t change the industry entirely. I’ve already seen it replace a handful of Medium writers. I’ve even had commenters use ChatGPT to respond to pieces i’ve written. These are definitely strange times.
