Fascinating and informative, Patricia. I learned a lot from this. It's so hard to keep up with the whole world of AI, but these are some extremely practical tips.

I've definitely fooled some of these chatgpt detectors before. In one story I published I tasked myself with trying to trick one of these detectors, and wrote a stupid, curse word and private part-laden adventure. It was so funny how the addition of "penis" or "boobies" would sway it one way or the other toward human or AI.

GPTzero I've come to the conclusion, too, is probably the best one available. It's been pretty helpful for me recently. It's hilarious how forced AI written text can sound sometimes. One of the people I mentioned to you briefly who was using AI to write his pieces had openings like: "It’s you and your partner against the vicissitudes of life. You basked in the warmth of shared laughter, whispered dreams, and the unspoken knowledge that when the world turned dark, your partner’s arms were the fortified walls that kept you safe."

It was pretty hilarious that he could even try to deny what was happening. It's not always easy to spot, but sometimes you can see it from a mile away.
