For most of my young life, I was averse to seeing anything in black and white. Each time my dad would try to put me onto one of his favorite older movies, I'd practically want to turn the TV off. Seeing "It's a Wonderful Life" in 4th grade was the movie that really changed that. My teacher felt very similarly about it as you do, and thought not just that it would be fun to watch around the holidays as a class, but that it was important we all see it. I definiitely agree with giving it a top spot. Great list, Simon!
