I can attest that I was pretty clobbered by it at age 11!

Despite its reputation as a family film, It’s a Wonderful Life really isn’t for children. Indeed, my own children, 13 and 17 respectively, have both seen plenty of horror films, but I’m only just starting to think they might be ready for It’s a Wonderful Life. I wanted to make sure they were old enough to be properly traumatised by it, rather than for the depth of George’s anguish to go over their heads.
