I couldn't agree more. Even some of what OpenAI has gotten away with so far is a little disconcerting to me. It doesn't seem to me as though the company is malicious, but the idea that something as powerful as GPT-4 is already available to the public concerns me a lot. Last night I was pretty easily able to get it to subvert some of its own rules about depicting violence. And its ability to produce misinformation on the fly is something I've seen first hand now, too. The thought that any teenager with a computer in a few years will be able to do what these companies are now is pretty scary.

On an unrelated note, I think people might really enjoy hearing your thoughts on this subject if you ever felt like publishing on here. Have you explored that at all? It seems like you have a lot to offer this discussion.
