I definitely have a similar attitude toward prompts on Medium. They're not all valueless, but at their worst they can feel a bit childish. The ones that really give you insight into the author I enjoy, but so many of them read as the sort of challenges you might give a middle school or high school student. It's not something I expected to see quite so much of.
