I didn't realize Israel's life was so closely intertwined with the ukulele's history! That's fascinating to think the instrument may never have even become popular if it weren't for those two songs. My mom's a big ukulele fan. She grew up playing guitar but has spent more and more of her time on the ukulele in recent years.
