I feel the same way about highways sometimes, except there's this comfortable anonymity lol. You can see other people, even travel beside them for hours, but you each remain in your own zone as you get on the freeway and just quietly agree to travel at ridiculous speeds for huge distances. And then you part ways and continue living your lives.
