I had almost exactly the same experience in my first month of meditation. I wish I'd had the sense to document it in this way.
It felt for me as though something really began to click after a bout a month or two of being unsure whether it was even helping. I began back in 2019 though and I've hardly let a day go by without it at this point.
It's always funny how nearly every person I talk to about meditation always feels that it's something they could never personally do "because their mind races too much." It's almost no one who doesn't feel that way. I certainly did and still do, but that's exactly why meditation is valuable. There's no end place where you're finally freed from all of your thoughts and worries, it's all about the process.
Great piece, Claire!
