I just watched night of the living dead the other day actually. I really wanted to love it, but it may just be too far before my time.

That's a really great point about the ending though. Certainly there's no shortage of that bad ending in the real world. Doesn't take a leap of the imagination. And what I like about the ending we do get is that the implication is at least there, even if viewers can't sit with it for very long.
