I recently stayed in a fairly strict hostel and needed to turn my car into my smoking spot for the week. If I don't have a reason to limit myself, though, it's pretty easy for me to smoke multiple times every day. I've always had a very hard time achieving moderation.

I do see the utility in smoking. For me it's undeniable how positive a role it's played with my writing. My music-playing is still a little better sober though sadly lol. I completely relate to what you're saying about cannabis and inhibitions. With writing it really helps me to tap into something that doesn't always feel accessible to me.

I've had the most challenging time recently weighing the benefits and the side effects. Even apart from the benefits, though, I just love the way it feels. Smoking to unwind has been a part of my day for over a decade. I hope it's not something I have to give up forever.

Have you had periods where you felt as though you needed to quit? Are the side effects something you notice at all? I'd love to believe that what I'm experiencing now isn't just a result of the weed.
