I wouldn't say that's such a clear takeaway. Biden did win the popular vote in 2020. I suspect the democratic candidate will in 2028 if democratic elections are still taking place. There were a lot of things that hampered Kamala's candidacy from the very start and her win was hardly ever certain. There have been times where I've felt both optimistic and pessimistic about about her standing in the race.

Was this comment directed at me or at Michael, by the way? If me, I'm curious which statements here bothered you most.

I don't believe that all Trump supporters are lunatics or racists and I've met plenty of Trump voters who are decent people. But reading the literal transcript of many of Trump's speeches, it's not hard to find something threatening, incoherent, concerning, or fanatical. I don't think everyone who supported him is a bad person. But I don't think that there's such thing as a decent person who conducts himself in the way that Trump does and the dichotomy between him and many of his voters is a lot to grapple with for democratic voters like myself.
