If it's a thought out comment, sure I'll accept a clap or two. But if I'm just inanely telling someone, "wow, great piece," don't you dare hit that clap button, weirdo. It's not a story, and I don't care about its fan count lol. I've been getting loads of these useless notifcations lately.

I think my least favorite, though, will always be the "this user highlighted the same section as you." Who thought this was a good idea? I feel like people are almost unanimously annoyed by those alerts.
