I'm firmly opposed to using AI to write my work. I do occasionally use it for image generation, but not without some reservations.

I saw the same demo you did! It's certainly not perfect, but good enough from a first glance to be a little terrifying. Truly some enormous leaps from where we were a year ago.

I hope you're right that the projections are overly optimistic. The leap between last year and this year is enough to scare me quite a bit. Objectively speaking, AI does improve on a double exponential curve. I go back and forth about whether a future as a creator is even possible.
