Incredibly well stated. People always jump right tothe scariest possibilities and the Skynet fears, but rarely consider the subtle ways that AI could change society. Because AI just assimilates information and doesn't have any thoughts of its own, it does encourage a sort of cultural stagnation. When AI's datasets start to include more and more AI-written content, I think we'll enter into a strange feedback loop where the overall quality of information begins to deteriorate.

I know I'm repeating myself a bit, but I still think Medium would be a great home for your AI-related screeds. It's not often I see people on here with the insight into the subject that you have. I think too many of us are looking at this analytically, but don't really have the tech background to make sense of a lot of these developments as they occur.
