Is it one you ever went back to revisit? I'd actually agree that Midsommar is the better movie, but it was experimental enough that it veered a bit more away from horror in my eyes. Ari Aster I think has gradually tried to bend the genre further and further, and for me, Hereditary is the one where it's still at least recognizable. Midsommar doesn't quite watch as a horror movie in that same way for me, and Beau is Afraid even less so. Hereditary for me really strikes that perfect balance.
