It doesn’t really feel like you’re looking at the state of our politics objectively. There was a time when I saw things much more black and white. I can find fault in my own side of the aisle while still acknowledging that the modern Republican party is fascist. They’re dismantling our democracy, and it doesn’t demand any twisting of the truth to see plainly the way that Trump is following the authoritarian playbook. These times are unprecedented.
