It frustrates me to my core how binary the attitudes toward the whole situation are. So many people fall into the thinking that "Israelis/Jews=bad, Palestine=good." It's absurdly more complicated than that. People have no understanding of the fact that complicated issues exist on spectrums.

You can be a Jew and still not support the Israeli government. The idea shouldn't be that complicated for people to accept. I haven't experienced any very direct anti-semitism since October myself, but there are a couple people who I've felt do look a little differently at me strictly for being a Jew. And I suspect that if I did go to one of these anti-Israel protests, I'd probably encounter similar to you. There's just no nuance of opinion anymore. So I've avoided them, even while I don't stand one bit for what the Israeli government is doing.
