It really is astonishing that there are so many people today who are able to see positive in Hitler. I had assumed for most of my life that it was a near-given across our species that we could agree he was one of the great evils in history. It's definitely been discouraging to learn otherwise.

So sorry about that incident at the art museum. I'm thankful this incident happened online, truthfully, because had it been in person it would have been pretty impossible to contain my outrage and just go about my day. The degree of removal prevented this from being anything truly traumatic for me, but it was certainly sad and eye-opening.

I'd be curious to press a little more on that Trump point if you have the time to explain your stance. My thought is that the end of anti-semitism is as distant and lofty of a dream as Israel is fighting in trying to wipe out an ideology from the map. What do you think Trump could do to put a swift end to that? Do you pretty strongly believe that he could end anti-semitism? Do you have any concerns about some of the echoes of Hitler and his propaganda techniques that have made their way into Trump's campaign? I'm sometimes frustrated by all the bleeding heart lefties who repeatedly spout off about how "Trump is Hitler!!" about every little thing he does wrong. But I think on a very objective level, Trump does make use of some of those very same strategies. Whether he'd get as far as genocide, I have my doubts. But if it were between prison or mass murder, I firmly believe Trump would do horrible, horrible things.

While we're sharing relevant links, I'd be very curious to get your thoughts on this piece if you happen to have the time: https://medium.com/bouncin-and-behavin-blogs/is-the-trump-hitler-analogy-appropriate-b9a8cce02a1d I'll go ahead and read that piece you mentioned! Thanks for reading and for the comment, Laney.
