It really is exhausting how much I keep hearing that argument. If this were in any way undemocratic, presidents wouldn't be allowed to choose vice presidents to begin with. Her unpopularity in the 2020 primaries doesn't mean that people wouldn't still have enthusiastically rallied behind her if she'd been the nominee. If it was her on top of the ticket then, I think she would have beaten Trump, too. Well said, Michael.
