It's always such a shame when these sorts of things happen and negate some of the progress made in this recent psychedelic Renaissance. Interrestingly, I was just talking about Michael Pollan's book with someone an hour ago.
Not that it's a surprise to you at this point, but I'm definitely a huge proponent of these experiences, and I think that an enormous amout of the reason they're illegal to begin with is because they really aren't conducive to a functionign government. With enough psychedelics going around, I think society would just devolve into a full-blown festival grounds. Which, really, wouldn't be all that bad if you ask me.
