It's funny how much a thing like an issue in the title can affect my attitude toward a piece. The writing was really strong and I appreciate the messages of both. I think many other readers will likely view those minor issues in the same way that I have. I think it's nice that emojis are able to be included in titles, and I've on a few occasions included them in the body of an article, but generally I think in title it can have a cheapening effect and make a piece look like clickbait when it isn't. Also, obeying title case and omitting title periods are rules that are less obtrusive when ignored, but for me at least, they can still be pretty jarring sometimes.
