It's interesting to talk to someone who came into religion the opposite way! One of the great frustrations of religion for me has always been the geographic component. In most every case, I find that the religion people believe in is the one that they were raised into, and that the people in their general area believe in. I'm not a doubter in some beyond or a things that can't be explained, but I consider organized religion an ill best avoided if possible.
