It's pretty scary sometimes having to contend with the rise of AI, but I think in a lot of regards I'm less worried than I was about this time a year ago. Even ESL speakers are beginning to develop an eye for AI-written material. At first it's impressive, but almost every single time you really dig at all you can see that it lacks humanity and any new real human insight. I'm not sure if it will get to that point soon or not. I have trouble sqauring the idea that these AI image generation softwares can actually create what I would call beautiful artwork already with the idea that ChatGPT could never provide what appears like uniquely human insight and creativity.

I really like to believe we're each unique in our voices as writers. Certainly, if nothing else, we've each got lives full of experiences that ChatGPT is still probably decades from understanding.

Another beautiful, tangent-inspiring piece, Kendalin!
