It's so frustrating how impossible it is to get any reputable news agency to report on the fact that the problem is religion. We just treat it as a given that "Well, of course people aren't going ot give up their religion!" It reminds me a bit of America refusing to report on the finding that obesity makes covid worse, because "of course we aren't going ot do anything about the obesity!"

So is atheist the label you most align with? I remember you saying you have a fair amount of experience with psychedelics, too, and was curious if that changed your perspective on these matters at all. I'm still every bit as cynical of religion as ever before them, but at this point I am convinced there's some something out there. I guess you could call me a deist. But I'm definitely no longer the atheist I once was.
