My guidelines for "The Music That Moves Us" publication? I think you might possibly have me confused. That's never been a requirement for any of my publications. Tbh, I didn't even begin regularly doing that for my own pieces until a few weeks ago (and still I sometimes forget.) I agree that it's more a gesture than anything. It's hard for me to imagine it really making much of a difference for the visually impaired. I had someone point out to me awhile ago that alt texts actually improve your chances of getting a boost, but I'm not sure how true that actually is.
