On one hand, it scares me a lot when I think about the leaps and bounds already made within the world of AI image generation and whether or not visual artists have a future. But on the other hand, the ways in which ChatGPT still struggles to create something that sounds like real human writing makes me feel like writers might have a future at least. It's also made me appreciate just how special the expression of ideas through words is as an artform. It's fascinating to me that I can generate imagery that strikes me as beautiful, but every attempt I've seen ChatGPT make at writing something truly beautiful falls short for me. Maybe it's just that I'm looking at it like a writer and not an artist.

Anyway, fascinating piece! Thanks for teaching me a couple new words! Idiolect I think may be my new favorite since Kendalin Jane taught me Zemblanity. Thanks for sending this one in!
