One of the most fascinating things that I've come to learn about lucid dreams is that there's a spectrum to lucidity. I assumed at first that it would be something binary, and that it would be impossible to miss if you became lucid. You were either lucid or not, I thought. But the truth is, there really are gradations to it.

Sometimes, like you say, I'll be aware that I'm dreaming, but still not have full control or a complete sense of reason. Other times, lucid dreams are so vivid that they feel almost every bit as real as the waking world and I can reflect back on events earlier that day.

One recurrent thing for me is realizing that I'm dreaming, but not having the sense to know that explaining the sensation to other characters in the dream is a waste of time lol. Sometimes I'll try to write about the experience in my phone, or record into a voice memo app while dreaming, but forget that nothing I record in my dream phone will still be there again once I wake up. Another really bizarre sensation is lucid dreaming for long enough to forget that I'm lucid entirely.

Thanks for reading, CeeCee!
