Perhaps equally clairvoyant was the movie "Idiocracy." Have you seen that one? It's hard for me to ignore just how prophetic their predictions were. The first 5 minutes give the gist of the movie and it can be found on YouTube if you're at all curious.

It's bizarre to think back on how wide-eyed our hopes for the internet used to be, and what it's turned into. I don't always have the highest hopes for the future of humanity.
