Really enjoyed reading your thoughts here. I think unfortunately Elon Musk isn't your typical Paris Hilton example of "famous for being famous."

To compare it with the political situation in the United States, the right wing is annoyed with the left wing for constantly covering each and every very real thing that Trump did wrong in office--and is still doing today. As a result, for years it's been hard to get away from mention of Trump if you ever turned on the news. It doesn't necessarily mean that the media is exaggerating matters, only that Trump does a lot of news-worthy shit.

I think the same can be said of Elon. For better and for worse, he's on a financial pedestal where he has the power to do earth shattering things. Personally, I go back and forth on whether or not he's a force for good. Certainly I agree that the way he's ruled Twitter has been dangerous and idiotic. But that he can singlehandedly buy social media platforms on a whim I would say is proof that the Elon Musk discussion is one worth having. I'm with you, though. I get tired of hearing it, too. I have Elon muted on Twitter. And I'll never stop calling it Twitter no matter what he wants lol.
