Same to you, Laney! It's always great to be able to speak honestly and not let things just devolve into an insult fight hahaha. I was a little more defeated by our two choices when Biden was on top of the ticket, but Kamala is far, far from an incredible option. I've been surprised by how much enthusiasm she's managed to generate.

Regarding the insurrection comment, I think that was just a mistake in wording and not something she actually believes, but it's lamentable nonetheless. At worst, I think she talked around issues and spewed annoying rhetoric and got preachy and overly maudlin. But sparing that January 6th comment, there wasn't anything that ever left her mouth that came across as outright lies. I don't believe it's an exaggeration to say that the majority of words that left Trump's mouth throughout the night were either half-truths or deeply untrue. I was shocked by the way that he continued pressing lies during the debate, and even in subsequent rallies, that were debunked on stage that night.
