Sorry for the delayed reply! It's a subject I've been continually going back and forth on. I think we might have actually had an exchange on another one of my marijuana-related articles a couple of months ago.

I truly love weed and I think more than ever it's a substance that has a lot of benefits for me. Especially creatively and for insomnia.

I can't know for sure whether marijuana is the cause, but this brain fog I've been experiencing recently has been a major cause for concern. I'm hoping it's just some vitamin deficiency and completely un-cannabis related because I'd love to be able to keep it in my life truthfully. I'm pretty convinced at this point, though, that it's at least related. I've never had the healthiest relationship withe weed. For a lot of my life it's been a pretty effective drug for numbing and escaping and I have a really hard time using less than multiple times a day if I'm using at all. Hallucinogens have had a much less conflicting role in my life.

If you don't mind me asking, would you say that addiction is something you struggle with, too? And what inspired you to quit in 2005? Did you feel any benefits or heightened clarity from it?
