Thank you so much, Mimosa! This one read okay for you? I wasn't as sure about it when I revisited it recently. I've been surprised more and more often recently at how much I disagree with some of my stylistic choices from only a few months ago.

I've actually been working on a novel for a couple years! I haven't attended to it much at all in the past few months truthfully, and, like this piece, I'm a little worried that parts of it haven't aged incredibly. But I'm hoping to finish up on it this november with "national novel write month." We'll see how that goes lol. I'm not exactly sure what sort of audience I'm shooting for with it yet. It's a bit between genres.
