Truthfully, I considered using softer language throughout this piece, but I ultimately thought that it was better in a way to speak more abrasively. I really do think that it's an uncomfortable conversation we skirt around and the euphemisms just do no good at all in the faces of losses like that. I can see both sides on the issue. In times past where I've talked about some of these losses I've decided to speak more delicately. That's a really powerful distinction you make though about someone who you think was bullied into it vs. outright "committed" it.
