Thanks so much for the kind words, Terry! AI is one of the subjects I've covered most on Medium actually if you want anything a little more detailed and instructional than I can explain here easily. I'm sure there are people with better and more up to date advice though.

To answer your question directly, I'd say that ChatGPT is an incredibly powerful tool that's already capable of replacing many writers. It hasn't gotten to a point, though, where I can say "write an essay in my style about so and so." I've sometimes been impressed with its first few sentences when asked to imitate certain famous authors, but you can usually discern something stilted about it after a paragraph or so and see that it isn't offering any real human insight. AI image generation I think might be more capable of replacing artists than ChatGPT is of replacing writers. It's hard for me to imagine we could get to a place soon where ChatGPT could communicate my thoughts better than me. And I don't know if it will ever be able to truly describe my lived experiences. I wouldn't rule it out though. I do think the days of near-total brain/computer integration are coming in the not-so-distant futre.

And AI is actually simpler to use than you probably think! There wasn't really any learning curve for me like with typing. They're all designed to be pretty intuitive and conversational in my experience. Finding more clever ways of applying it might take a bit of learning, but I've become pretty proficient without any classes or tutorials at all.

Thanks for reading!
