That's interesting! I hadn't realized it was considered that high. Truthfully, I'm still not quite sure how great an idea it gives viewers of the relationship between a modern TV and cinema, but that's still pretty remarkable. Seeing Interstellar in 70MM, it's certainly one of the most impressive and immersive theatrical experiences I've ever had. But the visual fidelity on my 2017 4K TV is still better in many regards.

To say that the 70MM showing was quadruple the quality would leave a lot of out the picture. The immersion factor makes it far superior still to seeing it on a TV screen, but the visuals do still appear to be blown up. The Sphere by comparison was by far and away the most visually impressive screen I've seen in my life. Every inch of the screen is like looking at one of the best modern 4K TVs. Even with a screen far, far bigger than 70MM. Definitely worth checking out as a cinephile if you have the chance!
