This also got me thinking a bit: what exactly is the appropriate way to address these issues for younger audiences? I try to clarify that in the real world it obviously isn't as simple as within the episode. But is it wrong of Dr. Seuss, for example, to trivialize the Cold War and stockpiling of nuclear weapons in The Butter Battle Book? I think these allegories are useful as long as we remember that they're allegories.
