This was an interesting thread to discover in typing my name and pub. Had I not taken the time out of my day to build an argument to medium about why I felt more people deserved to read work, I wouldn't have been careful about fixing your grammatical errors and a couple of your more clumsy wordings.

And i certainly wouldn't have cared about you tagging another medium author. I'm not coming out of nowhere when I say that while it's not against the rules, it's these sort of interruptions in readability that can hinder chances at having a piece selected. Those things that, if someone were discovering the piece through a google search or a social media share, could just as easily be found through another, more reputable platform. For example, NYT and WAPO don't tag authors in that way that you might see in a more casual medium posts. It's Boosted articles that medium often uses to entice new members onto the platform.

So I hope this clarifies things a little. Certainly no harm was meant in advocating for you, and there's no editor who enjoys taking the time out of their day to fix errors.
